So here is our sad story. Last night, after a few drinks, we missed the last tram back to our house from the city. However, intent on getting home as quickly as possible to eat ridiculous amounts of leftover pizza and watch criminal minds, we decided to walk all the way back. This is probably a 1 and half hour walk, but it gets better…a friend let us borrow his sweatshirts, so basically because we were wearing skirts we looked like homeless prostitutes in oversize sweatshirts and no pants. But still intent on this pizza we started the journey around 2 am. Things were fine up until about 30 mins into the walk when a creepy old man in an expensive silver car, who resembled Dr. Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs decided to stalk us. Driving slowly next to us and doubling back again and again. Absolutely not ready to die, we sprang into action; doubling back ourselves to throw him off and crawling low behind some tall bushes. We peeked out occasionally to see if he had given up the predatory hunt. After about 30 mins he gave up and we emerged from behind the bushes and ran to a more populated area. Here we met a nice young couple who didnt speak english but were apparently going in the same direction we were headed. CARPOOL. This was fine too until their GPS broke and then they didnt understand anything we were saying about where we lived. So long story short we were finally dropped off at a tram stop that was about 4 stops away from our house. Here begins the final part of the journey. We walked on the tram tracks for a good 45 mins in the pitch black with only our super strength for defense. lol. All the while knowing that if a magical tram ever did decide to come we would probably we flattened in a second because there was really no where to go on either side of the tracks. After 45 mins on the tracks we made it to our stop alive and without running into a single crackhead! Then we made the 10 min walk to our house. The sad part…after all this, once home, we were too tired and too anxious for any leftover pizza.
p.s. dont try this at home
